“Wages Are Good”

This will be a horse that Karen will be sad to let go, but this is how we make a living. It is exciting to have horses around like Goodie. Karen won a saddle in 2007 for the Overall high point of the year on Goodie, showing him in Western Pleasure and Horsemanship, Showmanship, Reining, Trail and even the speed events.

He will do it all! He is our best lesson horse and kids from 5 years old to our father of 79 can all ride him. Once the show season ended, Goodie started his training as a heel horse and he is awesome! We are ready to start hauling him. Goodie stays super quiet and is willing to try anything. He was started by the Amish, doctoring and working up to 3000 pairs of cattle. Then he was used for a turn back horse and competed and won in team penning. We bought him out of Billings, Montanan over a year ago, where he had competed in a ranch horse competition, placing 4th out of 104 teams! He stands 14 hands and has a beautiful long white mane and tail. Our 5 year old granddaughter will be showing him this year, until he is sold. $10,000 firm.
“Senors Salty Dude”
9-year-old, AQHA, Chestnut Gelding

DJ is a very good looking horse. Born and raised in Roswell, NM, we bought him from a friend who’s dad had raised him. He was trained as a heeling horse and was being hauled to ropings. Since DJ is about 15.2 hands and we thought he would be a better head horse, we switched ends on him, and he is really doing great. He runs flat and hard to a steer with his ears back. This horse will fit a lot of people, and any number roper could use him. He has plenty of speed, is good in the box and can really pull. He is also a great outside horse, if you are just wanting a good trail or ranch horse.
“Money Bar Bert”

Very pretty gray, 8 year old, gelding, that’s gentle and smooth to ride. He had been used on a ranch up North. We are starting him in the arena as a head horse and he is showing a lot of promise. He is great on the trail, yet pretty enough to show. He is a smoky gray color with big dark dapples and a long mane and tail, and will be really gorgeous when he sheds off. This horse has the looks and ability that every rider wants. $6,000.
“Alright Smarty”

Registered APHA, this is a chestnut mare that is an own daughter of Color Me Smart, the highest earning Paint son of Smart Little Lena. Mix that with being out of a Colonel Freckles are, and you have a top notch broodmare. Smarty was started on a cow as a 2 year old but injured herself and couldn’t compete, so was used as a broodmare. She has produced several nice babies. Smarty is a real pretty mare, with good confirmation, straight legs, and a baby doll head. This picture does not do her justice. She can be ridden, just not as a cutter. She sells open and ready to breed to the stallion of your choice. She is a steal at $2500!
“Wranglers Smokin Doc” AQHA #4388636
4-Year-Old Grey Gelding

Ranch horse deluxe. Gentle with no buck. Rides like a horse twice his age. We have used him for branding and sorting. Stout and very willing. Will go all day and never quit you. Started in the arena as a heel horse.
“Skips A Classy Dude” AQHA #3922349
8-Year-Old Blue Roan Gelding

We have been hauling this horse a lot, from Artesia, to Albuquerque, Las Cruces and even Pueblo, Colorado. This is a horse you can win on. Runs hard and takes a very nice corner. We bought him from a friend of ours that had used him at the sale barn in Roswell. He is broke the best, and he’ll really turn around over his hocks. Blue has a big motor and won’t be out run by the faster cattle. He is real pretty horse too, one you’d be proud to show up at a roping on. This is Dennis’s #1 head horse.
“Jessie Eyes Luck” AQHA #4003004
2000 Palomino Gelding

This horse is a beautiful dark dappled palomino gelding. Heavy muscled but still athletic and he is certainly a gentle ben. He's making a nice head horse that is good in the box, takes a nice corner and will really pull. He's a horse that anyone can rope on. Easy to catch, good ground manners and nothing you'd be embarrassed to ride.
Tyme Awaits

Possum is a 1991 model, solid, sorrel gelding. registered APHA with the good breeding of 'Versary bars', 'Triple Chick' and 'Pacific Bailey'. Possum is our #1 head horse and one of the best in the state of New Mexico. Has been hauled to numerous Boogar Barter and USTRC ropings and has been to the finals in Oklahoma City. He is one of the fastest head horses you'll find. Also a good solid heel horse. Never taken a lame step, and there is a lot of good runs left in him. Gentle enough for the whole family. I've been using him as a lesson horse and our 9 year old student won reserve champion 12 & under on him this year at the western pleasure shows. $12000.00
