We are able to offer a full line of services for the horse owner and enthusiast. There is always a good selection of top quality horses for sale (even an occasional pony or mule) that will fit all types of riders.

Dennis is always training a variety of rope horses, as well as good family trail horses. We do heading, heeling and break-a-way horses from start to finish, as well as fine tuning those horses that have already been started, but have never been finished. Dennis specializes in horses that will remain quiet in the box, rate good and know how to take the corner and pull.

If Western Pleasure is more to your liking, Karen has been training and showing Western Pleasure and Halter horses for over 25 years. She also teaches riding lessons to riders of all ages. The 2007 show season was another good one for Double Rafter K. Karen walked away with the Silver Buckle for the 18 & Over age group, as well as the Trophy Saddle for the Overall Champion for 2007 on their fancy little yellow horse “Wages Are Good”. “Goodie” will be shown this year, by their 5 year old Granddaughter, Kodee Jo.

Outside horses are welcomed. We believe in starting all colts with positive reinforcement. Lots of round pen work and biting up will be done to help create a soft, supple horse, which is what we strive for. Horses are ridden in the round pen, cutting pen, and roping arena as well as lots of outside miles on the trail. A limited amount of outside horses are accepted for training.
